I use 93 octane and Lucas octane boost... no problems...

it only pulls spark if it senses knock... and knock sensors aren't the most accurate device on the planet...

so... to answer your Q... you should be fine I'd think.

Yea, you need to run as much 93 out as possible. Most people only go to the track w 1/4 tank anyway.
So for optimum performance, most of that needs to be 110.

when i was s2 i had good luck with using torco to keep hom on. i would usually put half a can in when i had 1/4 or less of a tank of gas. if you're using gas, use a higher octane to mix with the 93. vp makes a very good 109 unleaded now, mix in probably 3 or 4 gallons when you have a quarter tank and you should be good.

Ok, you are supposed to run the tank down to the low fuel light and then put the race gas in. When you do that you still have about 2 gals of gas in the tank. At that point, I would put no less than 2 gals of 110 in to get about a 50/50 mix. This will hold HOM but will not go far. This is fine if you are near or at the place you want to race. I would not put more than about 4 gals of 110 in due to the added weight and cost of the race gas PLUS, if you are like me, the race gas will be leaded and you do not want to run too much of that through your car. It can mess up the O2 sensors. PLUS, PLUS you need to already be cat delete to do this or you will ruin your cat. Around here, the track and several gas stations sell 110 leaded only. I cannot buy unleaded race gas unless I order it in bulk and I aint about to buy a 55 gallon drum of near 5.00 a gallon gas and put it in my garage!
Also, I can get 93 and that is usually what I run. Some places you can only get maybe 92. This will not matter if you are mixing with 110 but may have more trouble holding HOM with only an octane booster. I personally have not had any luck what-so-ever with octane boosters even with the 93 I use. When I go into HOM with just 93, it will hold in first and second but will kick out in third. When I put octane booster in, it holds Hom usually though third but will kick out in 4th gear. I do not think I have tried the Torco octane booster.
Do you still have a cat?
