No offense Airwolf - without any supporting data or proof... it's just one man's (woman's) opinion...

I mean, E. Blue SRT's are faster than all other colors... (pretty generic statement huh?? no proof, just opinion)

short of Amy's remark about freeing up room - you have to prove to me that they actually do anything... more engine bay room on a fairly stock car isn't much help (again, to each their own, and if I were modding the crap out of mine, I'd change my tune)... and as far as the noise... well... I have the Mopar "Look at me" blue plate on my car (it's pronounced Blow off valve)... if I had to do over again, I'd say forget it... but... a couple Benjamins for room you may or may not need and a cool sound... I'll keep my cash in my wallet thanks.

but again - to each their own! I am not knocking anyone here!

Im just sayin most run with either an aem ,injen or k&n all show rides and all track rides most do it either for show and go or just for show and others do it for go. Me I did it to look good and at the same time it did help with the hp 5to 7 more hey with any neon any mod for hp helps. Its the intake that makes my engine look good and the k&n filter that does it for the little hp it does help even if you just run with a k&n filter .

I really have no say in it but from everyones experience who does have it ,they say its a hassle and you gotta go through alot to make it fit including the inner fender plasitc just to get it to line up correctly. And that it also gives trouble with the strut bar it has trouble making clearance if you have one. Thats what i mostly heard from psi-chick

I dropped in a K&N air filter and forgot about the intake system. Some people swear by CAIs and some people swear at them.
Personally, I've got better things to do with my time and $$, but whatever fries your shorts..............

they honestly don't do anything performance wise on the car. the 5-7 hp claim is pretty much bs, the stock air box IS a cai if you look at it. the benefits and reason i got a cai was to just get more space. it's so cramped in there as it is that i wanted all the room i could get (mostly to cram more stuff in there lol). if you have money to burn, go for it. if you're tight on cash and don't want to just throw money around then there are better things to spend it on.

and the mopar is a pos, stay far far away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To save money just go with a k&n drop in filter thats all you really need and thats proven to help with hp and gas mileage.
