How long did it take you? I've heard around 5hrs and that sounds ludacris.
The 400th episode of the Simpsons sounded Ludacris, not 5 hrs to install the O2 housing. With a lift and some good tools (extensions, etc), it only takes 10 - 20 minutes to remove/reinstall the exhaust from the downpipe back, but theproblem with the O2 housing is that it is behind the heatshield and up in quite the 'nook'. Not to say it can't be done in half the time, but if you are doing it yourself for the first time I would plan for at least 5hrs. That way you have some cushioning. I installed O2 housing, turbo back s.e.e., rolled the bumper, put in a dual gauge pillar with an oil psi & AEM UEGO gauge, re-routed the PCV --> TB line and it took me approx. 9 hours in a shop w/ a lift and all the tools I would ever need. You also have to account for smoke breaks, part runs, and b.s.'n time.....
You can geta bitmore power, and kill some EGT'swith a 3" O2 house. I just did mine last week, they do take a while to do the first time( lower heat shield is a PITA), but aftering doing one i could prob do another in 1/4 of the time.
its funny how that works. You try to work on your car and after you're done you sit down and think how stupid you are for not doing this and that and that it could've been done in half the time
i have a full 3 in exhuast. and i have a 3 inch housing i havent put on. should i even bother with it?
I did my o2 and CB the same time I did my S2 and from what I read here first, I was basically told that S2 was nothing without a TB exhaust. If I was 100% stock, I'd probably would have just done the CB but I didn't want to have S2 with a stock exhaust. Even stock, I'd say that a 3" TB wouldn't be a bad thing. Don't think I ever answered your question.
