I was taking a guy I work with to his home friday night and it was fairly cool out so I had the windows up, but I had the sunroof open. While we were at a red light I overheard someone in another car telling someone with him about my car. I overheard him mention the 17" wheels, turbocharged and a few other things that I cannot recall right now, it was just pretty cool to hear someone talking about it that actually knows what it is. There has also been a few times when I was at a fast food joints window when a few of the employees crowd the window to check out the SRT-4.[sm=interesting.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif]

 

We're required by law to "assist uniformed officers" if we witness a felony while we're off duty. A couple of the guys have joined SAPD in high speed chases in their own vehicles while they were off duty. Not me. It's too easy to be confused with the "bad guys".

 

Dusty ya need to put a red light on the dash and convert the headlight's to flash. Then drive around in uniform and flash the light's when any of the ricer's get cocky just my 2 cent's. That should really put a scare in them.

Tell me about it. They are always after us to work OT at football games, concerts, etc., and now they are looking for volunteers for some undercover work with SAPD to try and bust a burglary ring. No thank you, just let me go home at night and enjoy a few hours of sanity before going out again...[sm=youreright.gif]

 

Dusty, if you joined in a police chase in the SRT-4, you'd outrun the bad guy... LOL! But the risk of damage is too great in your personal vehicle. You drive Fords at work, right? Smash those instead.

Yeal, all we have are the Crown Vic's that are prone to blow up in a rear end crash. I've mentioned to the Chief about maybe trying out a Magnum and he actually said he likes the car!! So, maybe there is hope!!!!!!

i kno its not really n e thin to brag about but a few times in the ram we've pulled up to the drive up window in the ram and the guy takin the money jaw drops wide open when he sees the front end of the ram

 

That is a cool story.....i would have been scared as hell if i saw you right there with a uniform !!! lol!!! Ya where i live they just purchased 2 new magnums...those cars look mean let me tell ya!
