Default rotation

hey wuzz up guys, i just finished doing my tire rotation a couple of hours ago, this is the second one that i've done, my sar has a bit over 20,000 miles, while the tire was out, i tried to clean the brake things, but the front ones are still a bit dirty, are those a darker red? or are they just dirty? i also cleaned the inside of the wheels, it looks great, i didn't think it would make a big diference, but as soon as i took it over my friends house they noticed it right away, with the help of my dad, it took us about 2 hours to do both the cleaning and the rotation. (counting his beer brakes). now all i have to do its the alligment, but i'll let the dealership deal with that.

The front and rear are the same shade of red, so I'm guessing that your fronts are still dirty. I need to clean up the insides of my wheels as well.

Your front wheels will always get dirtier than the rear ones due to the lager brake disks throwing off more brake dust. You can try Turtle Wax "Wheel Brite" and spray it on your wheels per the directions. Avoid cleaners that contain acid (like Mother's), they can pit the paint on your brake calipers.

the front brakes paint will change over time due to the greater amount of heat (the front brakes account for up to 80% of the braking action, and they're larger, like dusty said)- i've noticed mine have gotten a little darker and the gloss has gone away, while the rears are still shiny. I'm going to re-paint mine blue anyway, so i don't care, but if you want to clean them just get a good brake cleaner like these guys say and do your thing.

I use Meguiars "Gold Class", but there are dozens of good waxes out there. The best ones have carnauba wax in them, although the "Gold Class" I use has polymers instead. It's a bit easier to put on and wipe off.

I use Eagle One A2Z all purpose wheel cleaner which is safe for all wheel finishes, aluminum, polished, chrome, pasinted, clear coated, etc.

I haven't waxed my car yet (heck, I've only "washed" it once...) let me explain, I use Meguiars quick detailers spray, I am lucky enough to have a garage and don't drive my car tons... so I keep it wiped down after most drives, so it stays clean. When it comes time to wax, I am going to get Zaino Bro's products. I have yet to try them on a car, but the results I have seen are amazing. Do a quick search on Google for Zaino and you should find some info.

On that note, when waxing and such, I've read to use 100% USA made Cotton towels so you do not develop scratches and the towels will not fade color onto the paint. just what I've read and try to do when toweling my car down...
