From the feedback we got at DF on this issue it seemed as though 95% of the SRT-4s were sold w/o the alarm ever being activated by the dealer. My dealer is a "5 Star" dealership and they dropped the ball as well........[:@]

how do you mean 'activated'???

my alarm LED blinks when locked. if i hit the lock button and open the door from the inside it sounds if i unlock with the key and open it, it sounds. is this the extent of the stock 'system'?

That is the extent from what I have researched. Horn sounds and lights flash when the door is opened. I need to look into it to make sure it is really standard equipment, because I am going around in circles with the dealership. One said it was a 'valet mode', guy on the other forum said it only comes w/ S3, some say every srt4 has this option, and the dealership is telling me that mine doesn't. Very frustrating. Wish I could find someone at that knew the definitive answer. It's not the best 'system', but just the idea of the blinking LED light would make me more comfortable...

Not a 'special' edition per se, but I guess you could say it was loaded? BTW, those seats are a couple grand a piece and can't be bought as a single unit, they have to be put together from scratch. My buddy got his jacked and discovered this when he went to replace them....
