ok so i pretty sure eveything on my car is stock. im having a problem though with overboosting though. im boosting 19-20 and falls off to 15-16 till redline. i got the overboost code but the check engine light went away. the code is still in the computer though. any body know what the problem might be. i would really apreciate any help cause i really want to go tothe track again soon.

 

do you have a boost controller?if so turn the boost down a lil bit, you'll still hold 16 psi, I never had an overboost problem so thats all i can tell you.

On the end of the wategate arm is there a nut ?

 

just curious, where does your boost gauge rest when the car is off?

 

i have that same problem, in 2nd gear it boosts to 17-18psi then falls back to 15 like he said. then in 3rd gear it goes to like 19-20psi then falls back to 15 again.....

 

no i dont see a nut on the wastegate. im pretty sure its the stock one. it startedhappening after i tightened all the air hose clamps. then i took the negative off of the battery to reset the ecu. at first i thought is was normal cause the computer had to relearn every thing. but i had the problem for a couple weeks now.

 

oh and the boost gauge reads at zero when the cars off.

 

now on top of this problem i was rotating my tires today and the lug broke when i was trying to take the lug nut off.

 

I would double check everything to make sure there is no leaks... it could be a leak from the intercooler pipes.
