You seem excited. Breathe in Breath out.
Im not sure you will gain any performace from the BOV maybe a little better spool on the turbo but im not certain.
According to benchmarks the K&N CAI seems to be the top dog that I have seen so far, but im not the expert. Nor have I seen all the benchmarks. I have heard of Perrin and what I have heard has been good things. Im not sure but I dont think the Perrin is a direct bolt on for the BOV.

im a big fan of k&n and i have the typhoon on my srt. and millenniumdna said the perrin bov wont bolt strait on unless you got a pressure pipe as well... ive never heard the perrin bov in person so i wont comment on that. the only thing that i know perrin makes good is a fmic ive heard good things from them. as for preformance gains youll be lucky if you get 10hp from all.

this topic has been discussed from time to time, but I believe (and my thoughts are) that the short ram is not better than a cold air intake. the short ram is sucking air in from the engine compartment, while a cold air is using ambient outside air. now, once this air goes through the turbo and is compressed, the temp. goes up and the intercooler is there to cool it back down. so what' the point? warmer air going in to the turbo means the temp of the turbo will increase as it is compressing... and raise your hand if you want a nasty-fry-eggs-on-it turbo??? I am not knocking a short ram at all, I just prefer the CAI myself, and would love to see test data comparing the two units.

does the Perrin BOV need the adapter plate?

Personally, I would have saved $60 and gone with the $20 Oil Catch Can, but each to their own...enjoy your SRT-4!

A CAI is better than a short ram, intercooler or not. I myself love my K & N Typhoon CAI, and if you want you can use it as either a short ram or as a full CAI. Here are a couple pics of mine, the first pic is when I first put it on as a short ram due to not having enough time and the second is how it has been since the day after the first pic in full CAI mode:

Looks good 71 I have a question. The stock airbox when you pull it out. Theres like 4 things plugged into with numbers on them. What are those and where do those go when you put the CAI. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I dont know and I'm sure out there that dont either.

Those are sensors, solenoids, something like that and they mount to the battery tray when you get the CAI. In my second pic they are just to the left of the OCC and right behind the straight hose that is attached to the upper CAI pipe and leads down towards the throttle body.
