I'm glad i live in a state w/no emission's test's. As long as it's got an exhaust system i'm good to go.

just for question purpose's lets say you have stage 1 and california becomes one of those toss a code and fail states? How hard would it be to toss your stock ECU back in to smog it?

I can feel the difference in the turns and on twisty roads. It doesn't do anything for straight line driving. But for $38, it's worth it....

millenium, as dusty said, not hard at all, between my five times (3 for S1, had bad flashes, once for S2, once for the guy who bought my old Stage 1) I can swap a PCM in about 10 minutes. And an S1 car will run fine with a stock computer.

Myself, I would find a freindly dealer or tech and perform the procedure to erase the Stage code. And as an aside,, an S2 car will not run well enough to pass with the stock computer. Unless of course you replace all the S2 sensors and injectors, and maybe wastegate.
