Lightweight SRT-4....
Just picked up the november(even thought its not october) issue of Sport Car Compact....the cover caught my eye.....A silver SRT-4..with American psycho on the mag cover.....almost made me cry...lol...love the car and what they did with it. Here it is in black and white in a national mag telling how a SRT-4 engine made 369hp, on an all stock engine with the stage3R and Stage 2 Turbo toys.....and a custom exhaust...thats side exit.......on 100 octane race gas..... on BF drag radials did 12.50@119.2mph. DCX got it back slapped some slicks and went 11.83@123mph in 70 degree weather...On a stock engine sans the Stage 3r upgrade....They gutted the car...but thats not what gets me, its the power the engine is laying down, completely stock...nothing touched on the inside...i can't say that....they can!
Andy, we've had our differences, but on this at least, we can agree, that car is just damn nuts!!!!!! I won't be that quick, my car will never be that stripped (or have one-off carbon fiber hood,trunk, doors, and poly side and rear windows
)
But as they said, buy S3 (no S3R anymore, S3 makes enough power, just take the cat out), put in 100 octane, and put down 369 WHP!!!
So I only go high 12s on street tires, I'm okay with that!!!!!!!!!!
This is the same car the guys in Detroit got see at that meet they had. They said it was spinning it's tires in third witout even breathing hard
