I have just bought a speed sensor for my srt4 and i was wondering if anyone could tell me where it is installed at before i tear things apart,and does anyone have a problem with theirs?

 

i had a problem with mine. just swapped it. if you jack up the car it's basically right in front of your face, can't really miss it.

 

 

so you would get to it from underneath the car,because someone told me it was under the battery

 

yes you get it from under the car. the tranny sits under the battery, that's probably why they told you that. also contrary to the directions posted you don't need to remove the axle to get at it either. it's kinda right there once you start looking for it.

I can't believe they say to remove the half shaft and drive axle just to replace the sensor.[sm=huh.gif]

 

mopar has some pretty stupid directions a lot of the time. they tell people to drop the subframe to install s3...that creates so much unnecessary work. i think they just do it to increase book time.

 

Just curious, what was the issue to cause the replacement of the speed sensor??

 

i was just drivin and it started to jump and then when it rains,it dont move at all,and now it just wont move period.
