About srt4s?
I few over on the 2nd gen neon section think srt4s are 2nd gens . If anyone knew better it would be you guys and gals since you own one . I use to own a acr srt4 so I really didnt see a srt4 as a 2nd neon . I think they are in a class of there own.
They are their own model and are completely different than the Neon even though they start their life essentially the same and this has always been disputed. Dodge tried to make the difference clear by making it without the Neon name anywhere on it, the original concept car version was simply called the Dodge SRT without the Neon or the 4,and by telling all the magazines that were given one to test and/or review not to call it a Neon in their articles, but this led many of them to simply mention the fact that they were told it isn't a Neon and not to call it one. This is contradicted by many of the window stickers on them when they came out as many read Neon SRT-4. There are many cars that are the same as far as sharing a singular body but having completely seperate and distinctive models, a few examples are the classic GTO which is a LeMans with a fake hood scoop, big engine and different suspension, the original Super Bee and R/T which was a Coronet and later a Charger with different accents and better standard options like the bigger more powerful engine and better suspension and my Roadrunner and the GTX are Satellite Sebrings done the same as the Super Bee and R/T, yet all are completely different and seperate models and no one calls the GTO a LeMans or the GTX a Satellite so I really don't know why everyone insists on calling it anything but an SRT-4. In fact the SRT-4 has more completely different parts seperating it from the Neonthan the others listed have from their base models. The biggest confusion I think is that many are confusing different trim levels such as SE, SXT, etc. with different models such as GTO, GTX, etc.
There are very valid arguments for both sides and I think the difference is obvious, but I really don't care either way as I love it regardless and I also loved my '99 Neon R/T I had before my '04 SRT-4.

I know they are based on the neon but Im just curious what you guys and gals thought of your srt4 being a 2nd gen neon like the sxt and r/t and se . To me srt4s are srt4s not 2nd gen neons. Just trying to prove that over on 2nd gens neons section.
If anything I'd call them 3rd gen Neons. It's still great to see peoples faces when they realize they just had their *** handed to them by a Neon!

i think the srt4 is in its own class separate from neons. however an srt4 is pretty much a 2nd gen with a different motor, transmission, a turbo, different body kit, suspension, wheels, brakes, interior, etc. So there are some differences lol.
