Your right, my bad... I meant 13.7 though. After I logged off, I grabbed the mag to re-read the story, and... duh! it snapped to what I had written, but I had already logged off for the night and wasnt getting back on just edit...
I appreciate the catch, but more-so the ~break-down of the stages respectfully..

So it's quite easy to miss an S2 engine. I agree with PSI Chick on this. Actually, the PVO/SRT guys are the first to admit that they kinda suck (not like me, but close) at dragracing. They were showing 13.5 on DRs, while owners have hit 12.9 equipped the same.
The initial reported PVO S2 times we had were 13.5 on DRs. The only folks running S1 who are below 13.5 have some form of modification going on. It's much more plausible that you were misled or mistaken than that you saw the only S1 cars in the country doing this.
Especially since they had makers plates, and the PVO guys are notrorious for not using anyone elses parts.

as far as 1/4 times go, and i'm fairly a newbie to the drag strip, but my 2003 with my only power adders being a stage 1 kit, k&n filter (stock air box), and borla catback pulled a 14.0 with stock tires and premium pump gas@ 102 mph. this was my best run after a summer on the track. so 71 rr claims of faster times from the boys @ pvo does sound credible to me.

he's right the only way to know if the car it's packing S2 (by looking at the engine) its by looking at the sensor and if it says 3 bar code than it is in fact S2, another way is by looking at the waste gate if the S2 was recently installed it will stand out from everything alse, (for awhile) until it gets dirty.
