shake your bootie
In reference to thread posted on 9\17\04 by silverrt4 bucking and clicking noises, I have the same problem with the rough idle and losing power with only 800 mi on OD. I have been to the dealer once for it, and I have heard the "normal" excuse. After changing the plug wires and the plugs, the problem still persists. did Silverrt4 ever diagnose his problem? Is it really normal? I test drove one and felt the same shake. Where is that sensor located in the IC hose?
And thanks for any help one more thing two years of wanting and I got it SRT-4 BABIE. Havent wanted a car like this since the 2jzSupra or sr20det240 thanks to sport compact and never wanted a fwd. but if u think im happy your right. Any locking gas caps avil @ breathable or not? Hey thanks again N Keep on Trucking
i'm not sure what post you're refering to, can you please link to it so we can know what the issue is.
a locking gas cap is available from mopar, it's $15 or so, you can get it at your dealer. no there isn't a breathable one available, and you don't want one anyway. these cars are sensitive, and if the gas cap is even not completly closed you'll throw a code.

https://dodgeforum.com/fb.asp?m=80801 is the link where I heard about the car running rough.
Some of the locking gas caps they were selling at various SRT-4 websites could be opened by just twisting them in the opposite direction. Best to leave it alone if for nothing else than the possibility of it not sealing well enough to satisfy the computer.
I had this problem when i took it in they said that the throtle position sensor was the problem soon if left unckecked u should get a engin code P0123. there is a DIY on srtforums its pretty simple to do and will most likely solve your problem.
Cannot find DIY section and im in shop for alignment right now anyway. I will check into TPS later. Another "normal"excuse I got is the clutch begins to engage two inches off the floor making it difficult to power shift. HATE THE SHAKE and hope its not internal.
