You are right on the HOM... why? because it requires more fuel to maintain levels, and E85 fuels do not knock!!! Trust me... I've tested at the big three running E85 engines at spark advance timings that are way out from stock... point is... it won't knock (so HOM likes it)... but you are running the risk of jacking up your fuel system... fittings, hoses, injectors, etc... You may get away with it (sounds like you are)... but on the long term, you are screwing up the fuel system (or could be). now, granted, there are different blend fuels through the US, different summer and winter blends, etc, etc, etc... if the cars not designed for E85 (or such)... I don't see it as a good thing.
i have never heard of a single person other than you now using e85 in a srt. it's not designed for it, why on earth would you use it? that's about as smart as the geniuses that run jet fuel....

Exactly, all you'll have to do is prop the hood open after sitting in traffic with heat index's in the 110+ range.......people will think you work on your car a lot..........
