hi i got a little money....what should i buy lowering springs or a short ram intake
also i havent been keeping up with srt-4 news.....so has anyone read whats a good lowering spring ...i dont want it to low and i would like to still have good ride quality

 

A short ram intake really isn't worth the money since it draws in hot air from around the engine......a CAI would be a better bet.

i would go with lowering springs. a cai or short ram is debatable. for springs i would go wtih mopar. its a 1" drop, its a subtle but noticeable drop. and has a good ride.

 

i say the eibach sportline

 

If you want a stock like ride go with the mopar .... if you want a 2inch drop go with the eibach prokit. CAI is just for sound, looks, and engine space.

 

agreed on the springs and i might add that i bought the mopar full cai because i read that it was the best, but after adjusting it for several hours i could never get it to fit and went with a short ram instead. not so worried about how cold it flows because i plan on doing a intercooler upgrade and plan on buying the toys option if i go s3.

 

no such thing as "ride quality" with springs...if you want that then save more money and buy a coilover kit.Lowering springs look really nice but wont feel that good when you hit a speed bump or stuff like that.But if you still whant them the eibacks and teins are good choices

 

even on the stage 1 springs? i wanted to go with the stage 2 coilover kit so i could play around with the ride height dropping the rear more than the front but didn't know if the coilovers were that much better for the price.

 

For springs the mopar stage 1 springs are the way to go to play it safe on your stock struts and for coilovers stage3 is the way best I had them on my acr and wow what a ride and drop . For intake I had a injen intake but mopar is the best for anything.

 

Mopar is def. not the "best" intake ..... is it even 3inch?
