Default which stage is right for me?

well, i'm selling my porsche 944, which is the best setup for me. i live in IL. and we have pretty medium to hard winter snow and ice. i want the performance aspect yet i want to be able to drive in the winter without having to sacrifice safety. i have not modded my car so what other things should i do before installing a stage upgrade? i have a extensive background in diesel and some experience in turbine engines so i can do the work myself. also, what can i expect gas mileage wise?

i believe he was refering to the mopar stages. i would suggest either stage 2 with toys, or stage 3 with toys. the dial-a-boost with the bad weather setting will benefit you.

I WOULD AGREE WITH PSI CHICK, YOU NEED THE TURBO TOYS OPTION WITH THAT KIND OF WEATHER. I RUN STAGE 2 WITH NO TOYS WHICH FOR TEXAS IS FINE BUT WHEN IT IS RAINING VERY HARD I CAN BREAK TRACTION VERY EASY. WISH I HAD THE TOYS OPTION TO HELP OUT IN THOSE CASES.

PSI Chick, he said what should he do before he installs a staged upgrade.

gas mileage wise, check the gas mileage post for everyone's opinions. Depends on how you drive.

Front and rear STB's will do a lot for the handling, expect 20-22 mpg overall unless you let the power over take your brain!!!

I actually got 30mpg doing 80mph on a 2hr road trip. Cost wise, I would go stage 2 w/toys over stage 3 unless you've got lot's of extra cash. Also the mopar exhaust is a must have.

I highly suggest the following before the Stage upgrades:
OCC
MSD Super Conductor plug wires
motor mount inserts
CAI
Mopar/Borla cat-back exhaust
Mopar BOV

Sorry to break into someone elses thread but I have a question about the bov and the exhaust. I am eventually installing stage 3. Do those two parts connect to the turbo manifold at all? I'm almost positive the exhaust does. I'm just wondering if it will cost a lot to get them installed and then will it cost me more labor when I finally get stage 3 and install that?
