coil over - spring questions! help!
I read some of the threads and the drop springs people have put on their srt-4's
I was wondering if anyone has put a coil over spring setup on their srt-4, and if you have which setup etc.
can you put coil over spring kits over the factory struts?
anyone with any experience on this?
and prices of the available springs would be an aesome help if anyone wants to share!
all help is GREATLY appreciated!
thanks guys!

Okay hunn. First of all welcome to the forums!
Read this thread for information and pictures of the kits in the post that I made:

That should help you decide a bit more as to how much you want to drop the car, which coilovers to use, and yes you NEED a camber kit and alignment. Negative camber is for mini-trucks...we aren't mini-truckers lol
Secondly, yes you can put coilovers over the stock strut setup. However those struts are meant to operate at stock ride height, you will develop problems with them in the long run. Some don't some do, but if your gonna go all out on suspension you may as well do it right. Get a Strut tower bar, and some sway bars as well (Hotckis sway bars are awesome). KYB AGX's are what I had on my Stratus with a 3" drop. They were incredible. I can't say too much for these struts cause I'm not too too familiar with them, but I know my left front one is TOAST right now from my accident.
Honestly I wouldn't keep the stock struts if you were going to go all out and buy a setup like goldline for a little over 800$. That thread should help you make your deicision as to which ones you want. I'd recommend Goldline, everyone who has em, loves em. But its up to you. Let me know what your thinking of doing

By the way, regardless of what you do the ride is not going to be the same. If you get good springs the handling will improve. But the ride itself will become rough.
And when it comes to suspension, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
