Lol!! I haven't been around them that long, but long enough, I'm a mechanic by hobby as well, and was a professional detailer, now I just do my own stuff at my house. I love cars...LOL

Yes people appreciate honesty, and she definitely did which made me feel alot better.

Yeah, I've been puttin' the mojo on red91RT for a long time to get a SRT-4......still haven't given up!!!![sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]
Don't give up Dusty--I'm almost there. I get a bonus with this new job in March-ish. The wife has now relented and said I can give my Neon to her nephew (turning 16 in May) and buy myself a new car. She's rooting for a Solstice, a Crossfire (base with 6 speed manual) or a 300C. The issue is I'm still a total cheapskate so I'm probably going to go for the SRT-4 (Best bang for buck.)

(Don't misunderstand the choices--mostly all sporty or roadster--the 300C is an option because it's fast but also has a more 'manager's car' appeal to it--does that mean I'm getting old, or just growing up?)

Ya, I agree--but since you're getting to know me still--this Spirit R/T is a pretty fun kick. . .so I've really already got a quick turbo 4 cylinder car. (This January looks like I'm going to pull the engine and rebuild--possibly hypereutectic pistons, but that's about it for upgrades. . . well. . . maybe a turbo from relentless racing or something.)

Possibly. The wife's not quite convinced of $45,000 yet--if I were to do that I think I'd rather have the SRT-10 Truck. The sheer oddity of a naturally aspirated v-10 12 second truck has me intrigued. (I think my budget's going to be 30,000 as a cut off if new, or 20,000 as a cut off for used.)

For a lot less than 30K, you could "fully dress" a SRT-4 with everything from Stage 3 on down!!!!! You'd be the fastest manager around!!![sm=smiley36.gif]

well . . . guys. . . .sorry to report this to the SRT groupies. . . but as it turns out I have neither grown up, nor gotten over my "cheapskate" syndrome.

I bought a car today:

(sorry dusty. . . but at least it's still in the family)
