i have the mopar plate style blow off valve on my 98 r/t and within the past few days i have been noticing oil spitting out of the bov whenever it blows off......the srtforum guys said that i just need a catch can, but i was just wondering if maybe i blew an oil seal out of the turbo.......any ideas????
yup, catch can. you shouldnt have oil anywhere near that part of things (well, aside from the turbo itself... which shouldnt come into contact with the air flowing through it)
a check valve is just as good as a catch can and doesn't look as silly. i've been using a check valve with no catch can for about three years and i have no oil in my lines. just get that. you can throw a cc on for good measure if you want, but there's not really a need. ptperformance sells the check valve already set up, it's $20 or something if i remember right.
