I got my orng Neon on Thursday I love it to death. it has taken me a year to be able to buy it. Now I will wait a bit and then start moving to attack the 8's. I live in the DFW area in Texas my dealer says they dont have the upgrade stuff out yet is this true?

 

Your dealer sucks. Go to Mopar.com and see what dodge has to offer. Turbo upgrade kits, suspension, short throw shifter, exhaust. You'll love this car. I think everbody here will agree.

 

Do they still keep the warranty if i install the parts?

 

And does anybody know when they will let the stage 3 out. I was told that i could go straight to that instead of buying the first and second stage. Is this true?

 

Yes hunn that is true. Welcome to the boards. I don't know of ANY srt-4 thats in the 8's yet, you can only put so much power into a FWD car. Some dealerships will cover the parts, others won't. All depends on where you go. Mopar has:
- 3d Tails
- Short Throw Shifter
- Blow Off valve
- Stage 1
- Stage 2 upgrade/Stage 2 alone
- Stage 3 upgrade/Stage 3 alone
- Stage 1, 2, 3 Suspension Kits
I can't think right now. AGP makes turbo upgrade kits for our cars as well. Cry02 has some awesome cooling systems available which utilize the intercooler itself. Perrin has fuel rail kits, and intercoolers, as well as an intake, Hotckis is king of sway bars, Goldine, Tein, Mopar, etc. have suspension setups for the SRT. Rims are a piece of cake 5x100, and 19s will fit. Anything bigger than a 250 series tire is asking for trouble though. The stock BFG KDW2s are great as far as traction goes, but eh. If your up over 300hp, get a new Fuel Pump, the stock fuel pump can only handle 300hp. These engines are damn near bullet proof, they can handle anything you toss at em. The stock fuel system is too restrictive after 500hp, PSi-Fi (who also has tons of parts for the srt-4) is making a whole new fuel system for those interested. Theres WGA's Turbo timers, you name it its out there. Heres a few vendors:

Sry when i said attack the 8's i mean all the V8's namely the vettes lol. SS camaro, Cobra. I already had a Cobra try and race me and Trans AM. Im still in the break in time. Only have 200 miles on it. Do i really need to wait for 300 miles to run hard?

 

I would, its a turbo, a bit different than other cars. And you'll notice that the more you break it in, the faster it will become....thats a fact not just my opinion. Be careful, good luck, V8's....piece of cake!

 

Have fun with your new car, its a blast driving. I still have yet to do any mods because of tight on the cash flow, buuuuuuuttttttttt go to all them sites and check them out, my friend has a sweet SRT4 with T3/4 turbo and toys and stuff, its awsome. Save the tires though, they're expensive and you may only get 15kmiles from'em. my 04 has 40,000miles on it and its only 9 months old.

sexy.... how is a turbo break in different than a n/a engine?

and to neonorangeblast... yes it matters, break you engine in like it says to in the manual, take the extra time, your car will thank you for it and you could save yourself a lot of time and $$ as you put the miles on.
