Default OCC setup

My occ has alot more water than oil in it usually.....is this normal or is it setup wrong....the greddy occ was on the car when i got it....theres only one occ and its mounted under my cold air intake next to the battery...The inlet side of the occ appears to be hooked up to the pcv valve...and the outlet side is connected to the intake...

Also what oil should i run in summer and winter??? I already forgot and im used to putting oil in my reg neon...which i put full synthetic 0w30....I live in the corner tip of northwestern georgia and its cold, below-freezing winters withhot summers...

woah, should go PVC -> OCC -> Intake manifold

IF a second one is used that one would connect from the crankase vent to the intake

5W30 normally (reccomended), but in the warmer months of summer 10W30 is fine

As long as you stick to a full synthetic, 0W-30 or 5W-30 is fine in the winter, 5W-30 has worked fine for me down here in the hot and humid summers of south Texas for the last four summers....

if the pvc is hollowed completley, you may want to consider a new pvc or putting a check valve inline.

+1. when you boost, your boost is going into the valve cover.... this not good. The PCV valve shutswhen there is positive manifold pressure, and prevents boost from getting in there and creating too much pressure.

Hm? maybe this is why my car backfires really bad in really high boost??? a intake manifold backfire? hm??? makes sense....i ordered my pcv valve and im awaiting its arrival.....

the car only backfires over 20psi.....ive watche my air fuels at 20+ psi and they are safe...i think theyre actually still in the low elevens and sometimes high tens.....the car has pegged 26 and usually slowly drops down to 20-21psi....we only pegged that after testing the boost controller and wastegate to see where they were at so dont freak on me!! i dont run my car at 20+lbs all the time or something...
but 19 psi is my good number with no backfiring going on...after i fix my occ setup and pcv valve and do a oil change ill check back in

you monitoring knock as well? Just cause your AFR's look good it doesn't mean you are boosting safely. i didn't see any type of fuel mods in you sig. How can you be boosting 20psi+ w/ low AFR's? Someone correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the stock setup run out of fuel past 18psi up top? Not to mention you are probably pulling timing like crazy, which will rob you of power. Remember, more boost does not always mean more hp.Do you have an EGT gauge as well? I would lower that boost if I were you until you get some fuel mods and maybe w/i to prevent knock. You gonna melt/blow something up! It would also be a good idea to buy a check valve and slap it on there anyways even though you are getting a new pcv valve.

^2nd that... that much boost on S0 injectors / stock fuel setup. your a/f might still be 'ok' being as the car runs rather rich stock. but I wouldnt push your luck too far. and if you were doing what you said regurlarly... you would be freaked on much harder.
