Default Let's talk about seats

I am finding some cars with the Viper seats and others with the Viper seat delete option and side air bags. Quite honestly, they both feel fine to me; however, I know that a short test drive is not a real test of the seats. I would appreciate comments from forum members that have lived with each type of seat for awhile. Which seat would you get if you could go back and do it all over again.

I have read some negative comments about the Viper seat being too narrow for wide butts...that isn't a problem for me. I am interested in hearing about long term comfort, durability, etc. It would also be interesting to know about weight difference between the two options if anyone has that info.

I wish I wouldn't have gotten the side impact air bags. I like the other seats MUCH better. Either one fits my back side fine and quite honestly, my dad has like the biggest butt in his old age of 62 and he fits fine in the seats I have but, really, I am thinking about calling the dealer and having the seats switched because, I REALLY REALLY like the high back racing seats much much much much much better...

I'm in love with the Viper seats, wouldn't have the car any other way. Its much more supportive than the other seats. And I'm not a wide butt either. 5'10" 120lbs. I think they're much more comfortable than the other seats, they're probably the most comfortable seats I've ever ridden in, I can cruise in my car 4 hours on end, no problem at all. And you can actually rest your head back on these seats, and I found it to be alot safer in my accident, as far as support went. I should've been hurt far more than I was.....WAY more than I was. I shouldn't even be alive.....and even though I'm hurt badly, I think if I had those seats I would'nt have been supported nearly as well.

Viper seats definately. Nothing like a seat that holds you in place in a high speed turn!

Love my Viper seats. Recently had a chance for a five minute drive of a side airbag car. Felt like I was driving a freaking couch down the road. Like I was balanced on top of the cushions (eeeekkkk) I'm used to my seats hugging me

Another vote for the Viper style seats....if you do any serious driving they'll prove their worth. They can be a little tricky getting in and out of, but it's not a major problem.

viper style seats all the way

They really hold you in place - and you will want that.

Just took a 300 mile trip - they were comfy all the way to and from.
