Default Oil leak, S3, Short throw shifter

I just had my 15,000 oil change and they said there was oil on the motor. Witch i'm guessing i need to put a catch can on the pvc vavle since i've only put motor mount's in so far. And i checked on the S3 and they said it's $4100.00 W/o a core exchange on the ecu. I thought they were sending out new ecu's not reflashed component's. To me it dosen't make sense why they would need a stock ecu back. And anyone with the short throw shifter did you reuse the stock shift boot and **** or buy they replacement part's. The part's guy didn't know if ya had to buy them like it say's in the catolog or if the stock peice's still fit. Thx's

for the STS... the boot will work... the **** will too... though many have changed theirs out cause of it "coming off" while driving... I have NO IDEA HOW THIS HAPPENS cause the thing is a pain in the @55 to get off in the first place... but... in theory, both stock pieces will work!

Yes both stock pieces do work, and I wish I could answer your S3 question but I don't know too much about it yet, since it just came out.

S3 = $3600 at vendor pricing, core is bogus, that's a misleading part of the system. When they look it up, it mentions core, but when you go farther in the ordering process, it tells you that no core is required. All the parts are new.

Yup, Stage 1 was the same way. They even send the "core return" paperwork to you with the new PCM and the paperwork is stamped to let you know you don't have to send the old PCM back.....

I didn't think you had to send it back for any of the Stages, but I wasn't gonna say anything if I wasn't 100% positive.
