Got the car back from the dealer for the 3rd time in 2 months. Drove the same short 10 mile or so trip and guess what. The same seal that was just replaced with a new one in the same tranny that was replaced IS STILL LEAKING!!! Do they test drive these things??? Do they look underneath after they test drive them??? 10 miles and its all over the bottom of the car and burning off the exhaust. Its going back again tomorrow to drop off.

Well heres another update for you all. Its back at the dealer on 1-18. Today 1-23 they tell me the tail of the new tranny is cracked where the seal presses in. Maybe I'll have it for this weekend. Have the letter to corporate all ready to go as soon as this last chapter is complete. The response I get will let me know if I'll be walking into a Dodge or Chevy dealer this summer. It would be a shame if they lost my family and I as customers who have bought nothing but new Dodges since my fathers new '70 Challenger RT 383 .

No rental. That was brought up during the first visit. I was told that if this were a problem on my '06 Magnum that I bought from them, i could have a free loaner. But being the SRT was bought at another dealer I couldn't get a loaner.
Oh , and buy the way. Its over a week now and still no repair to the leak. New tranny AGAIN ? I'll let you all know in a day or two.

please keep the updates coming, as im now a new clutch and twice rebuilt tranny into this same problem...and the tranny guy is totally baffled as to why it is still doing the same thing...it appears there is no point in bitching at dodge, so ill leave that end alone unless it gets u somewhere...thanks

mines going back in to the tranny guy today....talked to some peeps at the track who said it could be output synchro and most tranny people dont change those out cos it takes so long...also said it could be a bent fork.....one of the guys also called daryl *** who said to check third shift selector if that helps anyone in dealing with tranny work
