Gas Mileage?!
I tend to get no less than 27mpg at any time and up to 32/33mpg on straight highway driving. I probably average 29mpg or so. Its a bone stock '03 by the way. Anyone know how much smog/air quality affects mileage in a vehicle? I live in northern Michigan where the air is pretty clean. On a side note, if the owner of the silver srt-4 I see at both Michigan rally america events is on this forum please shoot me an email at waylon@darkponyproductions.com I'm curious as to whether you just spectate or volunteer etc.

When my tranny is fixed I usually get between 19 and 21 city mileage. Rarely over 45mph and stop lights and signs every few blocks. Sold my 8mpg International Scout for something fun and economical. Did one long highway trip to New Hampshire and got an even 30mpg at about 65/70mph all the way. Noticed dirty air filters kill the mileage a lot. Dont think a grounding wire will do anything for mileage. At least nothing you will notice. General rule of thumb I was told is that anything that helps the engine breathe easier ( lower restriction filter & exhaust ) will give better mpg's. That is if you can resist using the newly found HP.
Hey Thanks all, I guess I can sleep now knowing that my SRT-4 is consuming at a normal rate. What was really killin' me was when a was filling up. I never get what the manual suggests. But, for all those that replied, thanks.
