my friend has a problem with his agpwastegate...he tried turning up his boost on the manual boost controller..but he couldnt ,no matter how high he turned up the boost on the controller or the wastegate arm it would still spike at17psi....he disconnected the negative on the battery to reset it but it would still not change..he ran a line from the back of the turbo directly to the wastegate too, but no change...any help would be appreciated...thank you

 

what's the wga set at?

 

well it spikes at 17 and drops to 15...

You don'thave the fuel to be boosting more than that.

because you're running only off the wga. there's only a 10lb spring in there, he's lucky to be able to hold even that. set the wga at 12psi (set it with the mbc off) and then turn up the boost from there.

 

well from mine i just tune it from the wastegate....but he cant even do that or even with the boost controller..no matter how much he turns it up the boost still stays the same.

 

you don't tune with a wga. you tune with a bc. set the wga at 12 and tune with the mbc. if the boost won't change something is hooked up wrong.
