Default S2 IN. Jumping up and down in my office!!!!!

I just got caught jumping up and down in my office. S2 just got here and I am sooooooooooooooo excited!!! It took no time to order and recieve due to an awesome dealer in NY. Joe at Cortese Dodge in N.Y. is the man. This weekend should be interesting - looks like I have my work cut out. Any pointers on install that I should be aware of? I can't wait for my cars potential to be released.

Toys too. Definitely - don't think I'd want the s2 w/o it. DAB seems like an essential component

I agree with the DAB... others don't... but... I doubt I'd use the sprayers or even the octane switch... but... nice options to have impress the ladies... hahaha...

I know I just posted it, but let me know if you run into any snags with the install... I am very curious...

I am curious too - I'll probably get to installing it friday night or saturday. I would love any comments from those who have done the install themselves. I wonder about the whole computer reflash thing, though. How do I get that done before I install the computer in the car. I don't have a second car to drive so I need to figure this one out before I start taking apart my car.

you should have supplied your VIN number to where you bought it... the PCM should be flashed before you get the Stage 2... otherwise a dealer can help you (though they seem to not like to do this)...

if I am wrong, someone correct me please!

the computer was purchased by another srt-4 owner who bailed on the dealer that sold it to me so it has their vin stored. I was told that it either needed to be sent out to Flight Systems(i think that is what it's called) to be reflashed and wait another month or so; or put it in the car and have a dealer do it while it's in the car using an obdII and a few simple procedures. I chose the later due to the fact that i have it and can't bear the thought of waiting another couple months to get it in the car.

On the dealer not liking to do this - you are quite correct. My dealer really pissed me off when I called to confirm the 2:30 appt. I made to do it today. They all of a sudden are saying it can't be done. I told them that I have step by step instructions on how to do it and their response was that the owner of the dealership said no. Furthermore they said they wouldn't let me flip the computer in the parking lot to get the s2 in so they could do the work.

This is the second dealer that i have been to since I bought the car in June(both 5star) who drags their tail(i won't get into detail about the failing brakes I've been driving on for 5 months due to their negligence) and puts off a customer because they have no idea about the srt-4 model. Neither knew what the story was with s2 - amazing - they must REALLY train their people well(extra sarcastic).

So as a last resort I called a dealer in Lansdale who was recomended by a dodgeforum member who works there and bingo - they sound great. They are going to squeeze me in this afternoon. They just put in a s3r kit on one of the employee's cars and he is going to do the work before he goes to the track this afternoon. WOW a real dealer who knows this vehicle. I'll post the name after they do the work and give them a real positive review I hope.

Thank you to Jeff(morningpride) for the referral.

Wish me luck.

Good luck hunn, I know what your going through, dealers can be absolute morons and complete ********. Thats why I deal with Paul, the only service manager I know that DRIVES an SRT-4. He's damn well familiar with them, and I trust him with my car too. Thats another thing to watch out for, you take these cars in for service.....coincidentally they always need a "test drive". Yeah yeah BULL****. No touch my car lol. I only let Paul drive it. I'm a bitch but hey, they aren't paying for it what do they care?

Let us know how the S2 works out for ya. I don't see its worth for the money, maybe you can prove me wrong

I hope I can prove you wrong.

Yeah the new dealer seems like yours with Paul.

and damn do the crappy ones like to say the car needs a test drive. for a brake inspection when i left it at one dealership they went 8.7 miles(yeah i'm that a-hole who checks his odometer) I couldn't believe it - I called them out on it and won't leave the car in general, and if i do, now I tell them the odo. is set.

Take your time and read the instructions over prior to the installation. Other than that it is an easy, but time consuming install.
