Default Water/Meth or Intercooler?

Is water/methinjection a good next mod, or should I look into a better intercooler? All mods in sig--adding Maxxfab O2 housing and downpipe this weekend.

w/i. a fmic is really one of the last things that you should be doing, not sure why everyone wants to do that first. probably the bling factor.

i think a huge intercooler 'looks cool' as you said.

a guy i work with has it on his SRT and swears by it though. he has S2 and is running around in HOM all the time using water injection. would go with the w/i, just make sure your getting a good kit (not some fleebay crap). its important that the kit only sprays when its appropriate

Some degree of control over the water injection is important. It needs to be injected only when the engine is heavily loaded and the throttle is wide open; as with other systems which need to monitor engine load, this can be determined by manifold vacuum, which is low when the engine is loaded and high when it is unloaded; however, provision must be made for starting, when the manifold vacuum is also low but water injection is undesirable.
Reports of more rapid corrosion of the steel and cast iron components of engines to which water injection has been added suggest that more frequent oil changes, particularly when the engine does not experience sustained high temperature operation to evaporate any water from the oil, are prudent.

Thanks-think I'll go with water/meth,cuz even though I really like the looks, I want performance more. Now it's just deciding what kit-Devil's Own or SnowPerformance[sm=confused06.gif]Or am I missing a better one out there?

cooling mist is another option.

i have the devil's own kit, single stage with dual nozzles. been on the car for two years or so and never had a problem with it.

i have a bfmic and alky injec. if i had to give 1 up it would be the ic for sure. your gunna see a lot better performance with alky or w/i than you would with an new ic. devils own is a bit pricey. cooling mist and snow performance are both really good kits and both pretty cheap. ive taken both the coolingmist and snow pumps apart and i swear they are identical inside and out. they both have awesome response time. immediate pumpage if you will. i had a cooling mist pump on but it blew after a year. i have the snow now and its working great. some engines run better with alky or methanol some run better with water. mine runs better w alky. see which works better for you. good luck!

^^^ i think you have it backwards. snow performance is the most expensive kit out there, and cooling mist isn't far behind. the devil's own kits are the cheapest. they all use the same pumps.

i went to a place i think its called gt racing or something. the cooling mist and snow kits were both 250 and devils own was 400. maybe im just looking in different places. on cooling mists website thier base kit is 200. i went on devils own website and their kit was around 400. i saw that and went to a different site. didnt really look into it. your probably right tho

that's odd because i got my kit right from devil's own and it ran me something like $200. that was also two years ago though so maybe it's changed. edit: i just looked at the site, it's $305 for the progressive kit, not a bad price actually.

snow performance is one of the best kits out there, but once you add on all the options you're looking at a good $500.
