Default Ran a 13.8 first time out and cracked the oil pan

Well went to the track ran a 13.81 and was told to slow down or get a helment BOOOOO

on the run befor that got a nasty wheel hope (took off at 1500 RPMS too) so bad the windshild wipers came on and the motor mount under the passanger up front hit the oil pan?? CRAZY but it did put a dent in it and cracked it. The Half shaft hit the cross member and riped the boot.

Is this why I need to change the motor mounts??? My friends were in the stand taping it you can here it on the tape in the stands IT WAS NASTY I will try like hell to get it on the computer so you can here it[&:]

Yeah ummmm motor mounts aren't near the oilpan darling. Did you lower your car as much as your last car??? That might do it you know. And you shouldn't need solid motor mounts at a 13.8, they aren't a neccessity at that speed, but they do help. It sounds like you didn't know what the hell you were doing to cause that type of damage to the vehicle.

I don't believe for a second that they even let you run under 14 seconds without a helmet. Its a law up here in the Northeast, at NED that you HAVE to have a helmet under 14 seconds, and under 11 you need a full race rollcage.

And if the motor mount fell off the only way I can think that you cracked your oilpan is that your engine completely dropped when that occured. Your motor mount persay would not crack the oilpan. But breaking the motor mount could, if you really really were bangin it hard. And even then..its damn hard. This kid Ben (Bruins013) and I know, dumped EVERY mount in his engine but one....and didn't crack his oilpan.

Motor mounts are putting tension on areas of the car that can't support it all that well, and the motor mounts are not made for severe conditions. If your really gonna beat the hell out of it, get some inserts, or pop in some solid mounts.

For someone who's claiming to make their own exhaust, DP and Intercooler....doesn't seem like you know too much about this car, if you don't realize that you need motor mounts. Research things more.....before the poor car gets murdered.
