Help me make my decision on selling my stang for a srt4
This is a hard decision to make, if I were you I would test drive a couple of cars around you and get a feel for this thing(SRT-4). It may not be to your liking, or you may want it more? You can make it go as fast as you want up to 400HP...
It will be a different kind of speed...def. no stang'
I would go for a 04 or 05 if I were you.

i might also add that if you only care about track time, even if you only spend 2% of your time at the track, then stick with the RWD stang....or still better, get an LS1 camaro.but in my case, after growing bored with rwd launches and figuring out that as a daily driver the mustang wasn't all that great for me, i decided to try something different. srt is much more practical -3x the trunk space as the mach 1000 stuffed mustang trunk, 2x rear passenger space, nearly 2x the gas mileage and best of all...it's the most hated on car that i've ever owned.
Nice Mustang.
While I was getting my 2000 Neon worked on, I was driving my dads 1999 GT for about 9 months. He has some stuff done to it and it's really fast (not as fast as my SRT-4 though[X(]). The thing I didn't like about the GT is that it drinks a lot of gas. My dad offered to give me the Mustang but I felt I wanted to buy an srt-4 even though I would have to make payments.
The thing I like about my SRT-4 is that I have over 400 whp on a safe tune and I get 28-29 mpg. I've heard of some srt-4s making 500 horsepower on stock internals. Around that mark you're pushing it though. Either way, If you want a fast car, you're going to have to put money into it. I liked the rwd launch in the Stang but I love the SRT way more.
With the same power, the reason a SRT-4 is going to out run a Mustang from a roll is because the SRT is lighter. I also like the SRT-4 because it's stiffer on the road.
Good luck on your decision.

thanks guys for the input. whats the easiest way to get a srt4 to 400 hp safely? my mustang can do it with just a little bit of race gas, ive done it before on the dyno but i decided ill come back to get a full race tune with the 150 shot. ill be over 400hp. how much money do you think it takes to make a 400hp srt4??? i test drove a stock on a couple days ago, it was def slower then my stang but it was only 13g's and it felt alot more confordable then the mustang. but then again this isnt my daily driver. i have a beater i drive when the weather isnt perfect or when its cold out.
You mean 400 wheel hp right?
I would say one of the easiest ways would include using nitrous. I'm not a nitrous man but that's me. Do you plan on using nitrous again?
