Cold Air Intake
A second OCC is recommended with a cold air setup...
I do not have a CAI on my car yet... I will probably use the K&N setup... they seem to be a pretty "trusted" brand and I have not heard of any complaints with it. To me, there really isn't a concern with "performance" gains from company to company, they are all rather mild in my opinion (they claim up to 10hp but I am a skeptic

i was going to get around to adding a CAI myself. my 2004 is still stock except for the custom SRT4 floor mats and some exterior striping. some kits were hitting the hoods and rubbing off paint but i think the K&N might be the one to get. hard to make choices with so many offerings.
If you go K&N, do glue the rubber grommet for the temp sensor in place. I know of two turbos (at least, there might be more) that have eaten that grommet, leading to an early death. For myself, it'll be the Iceman, it's on order with the S3R kit with Modern

I love my K & N Typhoon CAI. I have used it as a short ram and as a CAI and they both sound the same.
glhs837: How did they suck out that grommet? If the filter is not plugged or covered it should be free flowing enough to make that virtually impossible. Not to mention that it shouldn't be possible with the sensor in place anyway. What type of glue is going to hold rubber to polished aluminum?
