You know its bad when the car quits for no reason and wont start up again...

Stock coils are the best to use I hear...

When your coil goes bad it may or may not activate the check engine light or throw any codes. And depending on what part inside it fails dictates the results which range from an intermittent miss that gets worse with use to complete failure that keeps it from running. I had this problem just a while ago with my MSD coil which was on my SRT-4 for almost 4 years and was on my '99 Neon R/T 2-3 years before that. It didn't turn the check engine light on orthrow any codes, but it did start with a miss at idle that seemed fine at higher RPM's. It cleared up and started missing under moderate boost just to start missing at idle again and worsen. I would have fixed it far sooner than I did, but I had to eliminate the more likely and cheaper/easier fixes for the symptoms such as the gas, plugs, wires, etc. and I had to find my original coil to put it back on.

Quick question for you Roadrunner. For my MSD blaster 3, do I need to buy an in-line resistor for it too? I can't figure out if Chrysler had them integrated in the stock coil or not.
