well i was driving home last night and got pulled over. i got a ticket for running a red cuz i didnt come to a complete stop at a right hand turn red light. and speeding 55 in a 35 written up for. my question is whats the odds a cop will show up to the court date. i think there is a cop on this forum so his help would be appreciated

 

It depends on your city/town. Here in Memphis. Cops always show up at court.

Here in RI they hardly ever show up....Thats a sticky situation to be in. [:@]

 

get yourself a lawyer if you are in houston let me know i have one who dissmissed all tickets

 

The bigger the city, usually the less chance the cop will show up, simply due to his workload. Plus, smaller PD's/towns rely more on traffic fines for revenue than do bigger ones....

 

But if you live in small city here is a bit of advice make friends with a few of them. I've got a few police friends and they have gotten me out of some trouble like tickets. Plus I'm looking into becoming a Police Officer in future hee hee hee so I won't get into that situation.

WAIT! Back to subject in my experience they almost always show up and especially if you are driving a sports car and young.

 

DOH!!! At least it wasn't 91 in a 55 like me... While. SexySRTCHICK is text messaging you to FLIRT with the FAT OLD cop... You can read all about that some where on one of these threads... Um, actually, My niece was in her Pontiac GrandAm Gt thingy and her husband was on his GSXR1000 and they were doing like 89 in a construction zone. They both got pulled over. Lucked out, the CHP didn't show up to the first court date. Didn't show up to the 2nd one either and the Judge dismissed both tickets. They were actually quite lucky there. Ok, I'm babbling...

I got really lucky when I got my ticket for 85 MPH in a 65 MPH zone, because they said that they knew I was doing well over 115 MPH when I went by them. But they were in a police van and didn't have any speed detection devices, so they had to pace me and I coasted down to 85 MPH by the time they caught up to me to pace me.[]

 

Well I didn't know he was FAT and DISGUSTING!!! Im all the way over here silly!! Still funny nontheless. Maybe if you did flirt he wouldve been like....holy **** I ain't got any attention in years! And let you off. That would've been funny.
