MSD Spark Plug Wires
Was wondering what you have to do if anything, getting the new wires?? Just swap them or is there something else that has to be done, got some goofy blue tool with it...I'm clueless what its for?? Thanks. [sm=dontgetit.gif]
To pull em out....don't use your hands (well they say you shouldn't) Make sure your batteries disconnected if you try anything with the spark plugs and wires. Don't wanna zap yourself. Just swap them out...you don't need to do anything else to my knowledge, unless your replacing the plugs themselves or the coilpack, which it doesn't seem like you are.
I think thats all....lol. I'm so out of it.

That "goofy blue tool" can be used to number your spark plug wires...but on a SRT-4, it's really not needed, just change the plug wires one at a time. I used my hands to pull them off, just remember to twist a bit and then pull......some dielectric grease on the new plug wire terminals is a good idea as well. It'll run about $1.00 at an auto parts store.....
They use to come with a little thing with the grease in it. Yeah, the blue stick just has the white bands with the numbers for each wire. I found it easier to simply take the bands off the blue tool and just put them on the wires without it. If you happen to pull all the wires at once don't worry, this is the easiest car to replace the wires on. They are numbered 1-4 from left to right and the left rear coil post is #1, the front left post is #2, the front right post is #3 and the right rear post is #4 (as you face the car from the front).
