Just be prepared for a Mopar product (Dodge Charger driven by the bad guys) to be smoked (actually burned, literally) by the good guy, Steve McQueen!!!!!!!!

Nevertheless, it IS a great movie!!

here's a thought... since you have a 9 sec. car, we should be asking you for answers since you must know more than all of us to have the only 9 sec. SRT on the planet...

It can't be the BOV, since you swapped that. If your not releasing that pressure, there must be something in your vac line to the BOVs, since they are both vac actuated. If they don't get vac, they won't release til you overcome the spring tension, right?

Wish I had a better answer for you, it's hard without seeing the car. Even a diagram of how your system is plumbed would help.

OFF TOPIC, but on topic to some of the posts within:
If your going to check out Bullit, which is a great car chase movie, then you must check out the greatest chase scene ever filmed as well. It's in a film that you've heard of and have probably seen, but you really haven't seen. It's in the movie Gone In 60 Seconds, not the one you've seen with Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie though, the original Gone In 60 Seconds from 1974. This has the greatest chase scene ever filmed, it's 40+ minutes long and it's full of Mopars. The chase scene is the greatest ever, but the movie itself sucks. The acting and the plot simply sucks, but it's worth watching all the way through once. After that you will just want to skip ahead to the chase. If I remember correctly they filmed the whole chase scene in one take and there were several times when things didn't go as planned, such as hitting certain cars ans a phone pole or something, that were accidental and because it was a single take all the screw ups are in the actual film. Check out the DVD and watch through it at least once with the comentary on, it will give you all the behind the scenes on it. I challenge anyone to find a better chase scene than this one.

My second favorite would have to be in the FOX remake of Vanishing Point where the sherriff is in his '68 Charger R/T chasing Kowalski in the '70 Hemi Challenger R/T. You also get to see Kowalski drive a '71 Roadrunner with the air grabber hood, I prefer this to the original, but most prefer the original. I love the original as well, but the remake has a better story behind the reason he is speeding, in the original it's because of a bet to get from point A to point B in a certain amount of time and in the remake he is delivering the car to it's owner a few states away and because his wife who is pregnant is rushed to the hospital because her Lupus has gotten worse endangering both her and their unborn childs life he turns back to get to them ASAP. The remake of Vanishing Point is by far my favorite car movie ever. There are many of us Mopar fans pushing FOX to release the remake on DVD, please help us by contacting them and harrassing them into submission.

While we wait for more info from andy, I can't believe nobody has mentioned Ronin. One of the top 5 car chases ever. Just bought that on DVD and it's great.

I think I did in a different thread... it has GREAT European cars and a fantastic chase scene!!!

crude... there's another 70's movie that has a great chase scene with Gene Hackman... and I can't recall the name of the movie either... it's a "classic" movie too...

I liked the chase in Bourne Identity with the mini cooper...

side note: The original gone in 60 seconds with H.B. Haliki (sp) is great... Have yet to see Junkman by him, but it's supposed to be full of car action as well...
