gettin a little annoyed....
For the second time this week....i have had both the boost gauge and vacumm Tee at the TB come off...nasty vacumm leak,2500 rpm idle...not to mention the stares from those at the stop light next to me...and the fact i have to put my hood up and work on my car with everyone standing over my shoulder....gettin a little annoyed.....and i can not find what is doing it...some how or way the vacumm system is getting either boost leaks or boost is crossing over and doing the damage...how bad you ask? I had to buy another brake booster, thats how bad as a idea i pulled the vacumm line from the turbo smart BOV and removed my cap and reinstalled the raptor BOV thinking the bov was not working right...nope still did it....anyone else with this problem?
a guy here had the same problem. turned out that a piece of a t fitting had somehow gotten stuck in a vacuum line and was causing massive boost problems. he would drive around the block and come back with 3 or 4 blow lines, even after we zip tied them all!!!
check all your lines for leaks. the stock lines sometimes will crack and cause this type of problem. do a leak test and spray down your lines with soapy water so you can see if anything's leaking.

I already tried that..nothing i could see...also i replaced most of the fac plastic tee's with brass ones and i replaced both the blue and green plastic lines with home made hard aluminum lines...i just got back from a test drive...in 2nd around 4300 rpms at 18 or so boost it poped from under the hood and smoke came out...i rolled over the the side of the freway checked it out, same ****...except this time the freakin CAI was blown off the turbo...agrh.
Exactly what is your underhood config, something is really wrong. Also, the leak check is done with something you build, costs $5 inparts from Lowes and Wal-Mart. Take 10 minutes to build it.
Lets you pressurize the whole intake tract with the motor off, good to listen for air being where it shouldn't. Look in my user gallery over there, theres a pic of the tester.

a big crapy turbo im about to drop kick back to japan...damn for the record the bigger turbos for our car isnt worth the money and time...just by a S3...what turned out is that my less than wonderfull turbosmart BOV wasn't working...so every time i hammeded the gas and let off..you got it...18psi had to go someplace as it bounced off the TB plate....seems like the vacumm hook up on the TB was the easy way out...first CEl....is P0234 an over boost right?
P0234 is indeed overboost performance. Sorry to hear your troubles, hope you can get something back out of it. Good luck.
