Ok, 700 miles, it's ready, start driving it like you hate it for another 1000, it'll break in quick.

I have 700 on my 05 now and i have been really disappointed so far. I am glad to hear it will get better.
Will do!!!!!! I have kept track the last 3 tanks that i put in and I have averaged 21 mpg, each time. Really is depressing although I am in sales and the company pays me $150.00 a month in gas. So it's alot easier to swallow.

Not to derail this thread but you guys with the Stage 1 and 2, can you point me to a thread that might give me some info on upgrading to them. Especially since my dealership here in Pittsburgh seems totaly clueless about it. When the time comes i will look at a few other dealers around here, i know of at least 3 other ones that are less then 30 miles from me.

Thanks in advance.

*Edit- I have read a little about the Stage upgrades, my only question is how bad does it affect the emissions? I see all of the disclaimers and all.

Paul you also drive like a NUT!!! LMAO!

I have 4600 on mine and still havent seen those numbers, even though my car was almost always in VAC, unless I was following someone then boost kicked in. If I wanna go somewhere and get good gas mileage, out comes the Miata.

dude there is a reason that your gas light comes on at like 9.5 gal. do what u want but i have never put more than 10.5 gal in my tank at a time. and i check my mpg every time i fill up. i usally get 22-25.

Oh, and by the way, don't let the microscopic capacity of your fuel tank fool you into thinking ten miles to the gallon. If I run mine until the light flashes, and it takes 11.5 gal.

Its good to run your tank to empty every now and then. Doesn't hurt any if its done rarely.

By the way Gump whats up with the rude comments towards everyone tonight hmm? A bit uncalled for.

Were you not curious to see how much the tank would take when it starts flashing? Damn, if my wife drove the car, it would never stop flashing. It's like a game to her, "How far can I go till I run out"?[:-] Oops, honey, I think the car is broken down!

For me it's often times based on the current fuel prices, if it's high I'll go longer, but if it's down I'm topping it off all the time for when it goes back up.

No foolin, gas here is $2.25 a gallon for premium. Some times I wonder if there really is premium going into my tank. [>:]

Up near me Cumberland Farms (ghetto gas) that I'm putting in the Miata right now is 2.04 for 93 octane.

Regular stations near me, and up in Mass are anywhere from 2.11 to 2.17
