Easier said than done "the best advice is not to crash". You could be the best driver in the world, and adverse road conditions, a drunk driver, someone not paying attention, someone being an *******...ANYTHING, could take you right out. You just have to be careful, and be smart. Which I wasn't...so I'm paying for it physically and financially.

But for alot of people something like what happened to me, needs to happen to them, so they realize it. And then theres the people who, no matter how many accidents/tickets they have, no matter how many times their license is suspended. They're STILL at it. (Yes I know this person). So its hard to say really...but sooner or later everyone learns their lesson, and some, pay more dearly than others.

If I remember right, the SRT-4 did fairly well in the federal crash ratings tests....side airbags would help as well.

Lift throttle oversteer is the killer. Research it, understand it, avoid it. As far as real world crashes, these cars have proven to be incredible at keeping the occupants alive.

I personally only know of five fatalities (and I've been watching since before they were released) one in CA where a car with four young people went off a cliff, and Andrew Chin (he was hybridkid on the SRTforums) who got broadsided.

I'm sure there's more that we don't know about, but the point is that the cars do well.

Andrew was the only one I knew about, but didn't know the whole story. I felt it rude to ask. The only other fatality to do with an SRT so far, is the one in FL where the construction worker was hit and killed by an SRT, but the owner lived. They are very safe cars.

And your right...the oversteer is very very dangerous. I told Paul about it when I first got the car, and he didn't believe me. He took my car out one day, came back and said...holy ****, your right.

I recently had seen on the news where only one car in the past 3 years was bad enough to get a poor rating and that was a Kia, I forget which model though. If I recall which model I will post it.
