HOW DO I TURN THE BOOST DOWN ON MY WASTGATE...I THOUGHT IT WAS MAKING IT LONGER TO LOWER BOOST....AM I SUPPOSED TO MAKE IT LONGER OR SHORTER?

How much Boost are you hitting for you need to lower it through the wastegate??

 

im peaking 19...but im backfiring like crazy i cant even go full throttle...so my last thing im checking is lowering my boost...and i dont have my boostcontroller anymore, and need to change it through wastgate?....i really need to kno wut i need to do, this is driving me crazy, and i would all day and dont have time to work in my car, only on sundays

 

I think my agp works like....the closer you back the nut off the bolt....(like trying to take the nut off)...lowers the boost because your making the spring inside the wastegate less tight...im pretty sure thats it...

 

you shouldnt be backfiring that bad at 19 tho.....do you have a wideband?? you need to check your air/fuel ratio and make sure your okay ...(but obviously your not)....make sure you are getting proper air flow thru your intake and make sure your spark plugs are gapped shorter...

IF YOU DONT GAP YOUR SPARK PLUGS CORRECTLY you will backfire like crazy at 19 and run like crap...when you run more boost you have to adjust the gap on your spark plugs to about .35 - .40

that i think is probly ur problem...but good luck anyway

 

my bad just read your other thread...see you said you gapped the plugs.... you definately need to install a wideband to help you figure it all out...
