Default Cold Weather Problems?

OK, here deep in the heart of Texas (San Antonio) AccuWeather is forecasting a low of 13 degrees for Christmas Eve, possible snow/ice.

I'm aware of the traction problems with the SRT-4 already, but this is 30 degrees colder than normal. Any problems starting the SRT-4 when it's this cold? I remember the days in Montana having to spray ether into the carb of my Citation to get it to fire up in morning!!!!!!

I hope the streets stay dry.....I'd love to see the performance difference with these temps!!!!!!!!!!

I live in West Virginia and have noticed with the cold weather that we have had in the past couple weeks that my car performs really well. It seems a lot faster. YEAH

just be sure to let it warm up some before driving so that the oil is flowing freely. the tranny can be a little difficult when it's cold, so just watch that. but that's about it....

We hit a low of 12 last night here in Philly.
I almost thought my car wasn't gonna start, it had that "Danm it's cold"kinda chug.

But once it ran for a little but, it was good.

My car was outside the other night and it went down to 5 above. I run 5w30 synthetic,, and it cranked over almost normal. I did let it run for ten minutes or so, and the tranny was pretty bulky shifting. My car seems to take a long time to warm up. My Tacoma and my Stratus warm up quicker. I bet it would start at 20 below, easily.

Check Canadian section of the SRTF (I'm just gonna abbreviate from now on)
They asked about how the cars were running in the "brutal" cold.

I don't know about you, but if a Canuk refers to "brutal cold", you just knw it's bad

I only had a little trouble when it was -3 degs. here. It started just fine, but it turned over really slow and it took over 20 minutes of it idling before the temperature gauge even started to move. It took almost 20-30 minutes after that of diving before it actually reached operating temperature and it stayed about 20 degrees cooler than normal. The transmission was also a pain, it was rather stiff and clunky shifting. And God forbid if you get snow, it would just be best to keep it in the garage then.
