I dropped my baby off at the dealership to get the transmission leak fixed. I lowered the boost to 10 lbs in all gears and left the gas tank on low E so they don't do anything I wouldn't want them to do. I hope that helped and I hope they take care of it. Hopefully I'll get it back in 3 days.
I've heard too many stories about people at dealerships doing stupid stuff with fast cars.

 

yea, thats a good idea.... iv'e witnessed first hand a body shop worker at Maaco rapping a customer's BMWafter she had just dropped it off... i was there getting a quote on my ls1 transam andi saw him whip it out down the street after she had left... after the guy gave me the quote i told him i was going to look around at other shops before i made my decision.... of coarse i never came back...

Most five star dealerships are pretty good about not messing with your car. You can always check with the BBB as well....

yeah, we were never idiots with customer cars. well, all except when we broke out the back window of an altima. kind of a long story, but we had an incident involving a flying scrub brush, a support to the shop's roof, gravity and a large piece of glass.

i always wonder what they do with my car after dropping it off though. good idea on turning it back and leaving little fuel.

 

You have A 99% chance the tech. that works on your car is going to dog the **** out of it atleast once... twice if it's fast and a buddy wants to see. It sucks... but it's true. 1% chance you will get an old guy. Good luck on your tranny leak.

 

That's why it's set to 10 lbs of boost and very low gas. All I can do is hope.[&:]

 

well, hopefully they dont know how to turn the boost back up. as far as the gas though... a dealership has a near endless supply of that, and chances are its only 87oct.
