I've been waiting for Dodge to send me a new hood for my SRT for over a month now. My original hood was demolished by a drunken motorist and thus I must wait for Dr. Zetsche to send me a new one from Detroit since they apparentally don't stock the hoods in warehouses. I'm starting to have my doubts that I'm ever going to see my car in one piece again. LoL

If anybody has a stock hood in top shape that they could sell me (it's for an '04, but I'm pretty sure they're all the same), I would certainly appreciate it since I'm getting tired of driving my Grand Prix rental car.

 

I wish I could help you. My car's been in the shop for 3 months now. I was driving my Miata, then sold it now I have a Chevy Impala rent a car. I'd much rather the pontiac, its smaller.

Why don't you get a CF hood??? But whatever you do, DONT GET CARBON BY DESIGN!

 

Actually, I was seriously considering the Carbon by Design hood. I had heard it was the best one on the market...what was your experience?

 

The gaps between the hood and fenders I could probably stick my pinky in. No washer holes (a few hoods have them). Took 5.5 hours to get the hood on the car perfectly. Its a bit TOO close to the front bumper, it curls in at the headlights. And it had to be grinded down in the front to latch properly. CBD Hood? [sm=noooo.gif] The VIS OEM style hood fits perfectly. But I wouldnt go with CBD....VIS is cheaper too.
