Okay whoa. Not sure I understood all of that. You were changing your wastegate to another one, and put on the block off plate? After this is where you lose me. You took what to see what it would do? The car? The popping sound of the intake can be conducive to a type of misfire. But explain the situation a bit better because I can't fathom that you drove around with absolutely NO block off plate on the car when you have an HKS BOV.

ok i'll admit i didnt explain it rite i put n hks bov that goes to the intercooler like the turbonetics raptor type but the cheaper one and it came wit the block off plate. So when i bought my wastegate it would be easier to get 2 without the wastegate on so i put it on then put the wastegate on hooked my air lines up and took my car for test drive. I heard a surge come out the intake it sounds awesome but i dnt hear ne thing coming from the bov n i miss the swooooosh... There was a schreeching sound and my boost gauge was saying i was pushing 20psi... So ne ideas would be great Thanks...

Sounds like you bought an adjustable wastegate and didn't adjust it properly before you put it on the car.You are probably hitting fuel cut where the PCM shuts you off to protect the engine from deterioriating fast. What type of WGA is it? And how many threads are showing on the arm?

Turn it so that the nut goes closer towards the WGA itself. Thats the way that it is on most of them. On the Mopar WGA most people look for four threads of preload. Your best bet is to leave the turbo heatshield off, and turn the bolt closer to the turbo a couple of times. Then go for a few runs and see what it does. Thats the only real way to tell which way it should go. If turning it closer doesn't work, turn it farther away and go for a few runs until you get it where you want it to be.

first things first, i would get a different wastegate, if i was u, i use to have that wastegate, and it blew out on me, and cause a problem that took 2 weeks to figure out, how it happened was, i was driving on freeway coming back from buying a stock intercooler, from a guy on srtforums, and i notice my car was loosing power and boost, checked eveything, vaccum lines were ok, turbo was fine, could not find a leak, so finnaly i said screw this, took it to a a mechanice, and they had it for 2 days, and then finnaly figured it out, wast gate was shot, and i had a rubber boot torn, on the cold charge pipe, so that was 600 bucks later, BS all was labore, and me getting ripped off, but i ran out of options, so yeah i hear that the agp wastgates do that, and that they are not al the good, so i had them put on a kenetic stage 2 wastegate, they said that they mopar or kenetic are better. so yeah when ever u get a chance get another besides agp, especialy since u got it off ebay, u dont know what condition that thing is.

You are the first person I have ever heard to say something negative about an AGP WGA. Everyone else loves them. Granted nothing is perfect, and I don't own one I am just going by what I have read. I own the Mopar due to driveability.

+2 I have a AGP and i love mine...works great....ive actually heard the opposite from what BOOrad said....

but maybe BOOrad actually had a bad experience with one...

i dont think so...sounds like to me you just blew ur coupling off lost boost and they told you it was the wastegate to get more of your money...
