Is this person on crack? Tell me...
Never went the heatshield route for the reason mentioned.....I have MSD wires which have held up like new for 4+ years. Also, I no longer sit in mid-day Texas heat in stop and go traffic.

Like I said mine is small. It was made bya company that no longer exists due to fraudulent actions on his part. Which wasa shame because they made awesome products and I thought he was a really cool guy. Theres no obstruction of airflow to the turbo with this shield unlike the larger ones you may have seen on ModernPerformance.com. Its painted flat black, but from the first picture you can tell its not blocking anything at all from getting to the turbo.

Thanks
A guy from another forum made them back in 06, and only made 10-20 of them. The ony other place you can get something kind of like it and its just a cap to go overa cap is www.billettechnology.com. The only thing I don't like about the damned thing is it doesn't sit straight no matter what you do with it LOL. Oh well can't win em all.

They're actually powdercoated Hemi Orange, reminiscent of the 70 AAR Cuda that my car is modeled after. I had it done by a local powdercoating shop here in RI. He rocks
The Injector cover is painted though, those showparts ones are expensive as all hell.

I have the (larger) one from MPx for over a year now and haven't noticed any problems. No loss of boost and no problems with the wires. The larger type may block the airflow slightly more but on the other hand it probably does slightly better with shielding the heat. Either way, it doesn't block the turbo completely and plenty of air will still get back there.
Yes they are the Mopar wires, and thank you AWH. I clean it every wash during the summer, and every few washes in the winter (tougher to keep it clean then). Its a show car, so it gets cleaned/polished/waxed constantly.
