Is this person on crack? Tell me...
I have a stock 2004 SRT with a K&N in the airbox and the Mopar BOV, I was thinking of going with a Stage 1 PCM, and a Kinetic Wastegate...and was told that is was a good mod to go with no codes and no problems...someone, see below told me this.Is he really on the up and up?
kay, so you have a 2004 black one. i wanted a black one but they didnt have
any. okay this is the facts. if you decide to go with a ram air or cold air
intake, you will not throw any codes to your system, and it is very easy to
put one on, i did my own cold air. and believe me im no mechanic. if you are
going to run that new wastegate, than you will need to take off the bov
plate, and go with a true blow off vavle before you put on the kinetic
actuator. reason being is that you will be producing more boost and it needs
to go somewhere. now i dont know who may have told you that you need to go
to a stage 1, but the 2004 and 2005 srt4's already have stage 1 on them.
dont let someone take you for a fool bro. they tried to do me that way
before i had my stage 2 put on. the only modle that needs to have stage 1
upgrades put on it is the 2003. So yours is already good to go.
now you will have a little bit more noise from the car, but not too much,
because anytime you increase the boost the engine is going to run a little
harder because the turbo is charging the manifold with more pressure, which
is going to make the exhaust louder. but you should be running the standard
2.25 exhaust. i have the 3 inch borla on mine, because im running a full
stage 2.
now with the kinetic wastegate you will see boost levels around and upto
21psi. but with out the bov and the upgrade on the injectors, it will
probably stay around 15 to 18 lbs or prssure, because you may not be able to
feed the engine the amount of gas it needs to produce those numbers.
i tell you what, there is a lot of info i can tell you about are cars, so if
you want i can give you my cell number and we can talk, or you can just keep
emailing me and i will help the best i can. i am off all day and will leave
my computer on for any update emails you may send me. dont worry you can
write me as much as you need to. im here to help.

RE: Is there person on crack? Tell me...
04/05's do not come with s1 first of all. he made a ghetto intake, there's something to be proud of. you can't do 21psi on the stock turbo, even with fuel mods done (and not to mention that the ecu isn't going to reduce boost to 15-18 psi on it's own, it will simply pull timing and if you do try to run 21psi on the stock fuel system you will go boom). no one should be running the stock exhaust lol. he talks about s2 like it's a serious mod and only then should you upgrade to a 3" tbe lol.
basically this kid has no clue, but really seems to think that he does. i love people like that haha

you make sure that you run platnium plugs, the others you will melt, our engines run too hot. when i got mine i changed the plugs and the whole ignition system. im running a complete msd system, and nkg colder heat plugs. i hope you run the same. the stereo in mine i changed. i have of course two 12's and i hugh amp with alphine system in mine. kicker is very good, but i need alphine in mine. right now my car is set at about 325hp and i just turned the wastgate down today. im putting my chrome wheeles on it now. since the winter is almost over. i cant run stock. i got to stand out. also i have custome graphics on it too. my good friend has his own business and does graphics. so he hooked me up.

RE: Is there person on crack? Tell me...
Never seen plugs melt in SRTs. Thats silly. The best plug to run is an NGK #4306. As for running 21psi on the stock turbo I know MANY cars that have done it (and a few that have exceeded it including the only stock turbo car near the 11s) without any major issues. That is a 21psi spike however, and not a hold. What in the hell is a ram air intake? LOL Hugh amp? Alphine?? CHROME WHEELS?!!!! Do yourself a favor never email this human again. And you don't NEED a blow off valve to run the WGA, thats another silly statement. The WGA will work without it, but its preferable for the turbo's longevity that you vent the air to atmosphere in the SRTs unlike Rex's that need to be recirc'd.
