Default What rims should I use?

I have 2004 silver srt-4 and my rims are still stock. I would like to put black rims on sometime in the future. I was thinking of painting the stock rims, black and keep them or go into aftermarket rims that will enhance the appearance. Something with 5 spokes, black, with a chrome or polished lip is sort of what I'm looking at. I would like to keep the same size rims and tires.
And of course, theres the $ issue, everyone wants to budget....so if anybody out there knows of anything thats not too expensive...I would appreciate it.
For example, I found onethrough JC Whitney....17" Sacchi S 35 Premium Alloy Wheel...all four for $586.91, that includes shipping and handling![8D]
Any other?

You just need to shop around, there are tons of manufacture's that make 5 spoke wheels, if its price then just shop around, maybe some company will have a sale.

Why would you keep the stock rim size? 17x6? A bit narrow dont'cha think? Something more along the lines of a 7 or a 7.5" would be a bit better. And yes definitely shop around. You can get full sets of wheels without tires on ebay for 300-400 brand new. Just look around.

Hey, thanks for the info and I know what you mean. I have decided to go with these rims from TurboNeonStore. I really like this one and it's perfect for what I've been looking for. I'm very satisfied with it. It will be ASA JH8 SRT4 17x7.5 Rims Black/Mach Lip. Check it out on their site. I'll have to send a pix of my ride very soon, I'm new to the forum. Thank you again for your input.

Go to discount tire direct and look at the mb weapons, they are about 125 and are a 17lb wheel, and they have a good following. They might even be lighter than 17, because I was looking at 17x8 and they are 17. It is hard to find a 17lb rim for that price.

Yes you can run a 7.5" wheel on the stock suspension. You can also run an 8" wheel, its all about offsets though. My new wheels will be true two piece forged 18x7.5". They were supposed to be $500 more than what I'm paying.... So that would make it $2300, but they felt bad that the others didn't fit, so they gave them to me for $1700.

How does this sound? 225/45ZR-17 94W Rein Falken Ziex ZE-512 Tires
with 17x7 5-100/114 40GBM wheels drifter wheels.
All this for $1030.00 and this is a whole package from Discount tire Direct.
Check it out and let me know, will have to order before 4:00pm today.
The tires should give me an inch more tread on the pavement, even though the rims will stay at 7".
How much height will it add to my ride? Thank You!
