Stage 1 on the way!
You'll enjoy it!!!! Try combining it with a Mopar/Borla exhaust and a K&N intake or filter and you'll be putting out at least 10 more ponies on the dyno .....and my dealer has given me NO hassle about warranty work with these mods........which is great since I bought the extended warranty.
No the 04 and 05 have the injectors already where the 03 does not so they get another part for stage 1 where the 04 and 05 dont. That must be where you were thinking it had it already.
The cost varies a little depending on who you buy it from. You'll have to furnish your VIN and estimated mileage at install time when you order and you can figure on about a 2 week wait while they flash your PCM to your particular vehicle. I paid about $330 for mine.
Install is pretty easy, remove negative battery terminal cable, remove the airbox, unplug the old PCM, plug in the new one, replace airbox, replace negative battery terminal cable (I'm assuming you have a 2004 SRT-4).
Drive the SRT-4 around for a little while to let the PCM "learn" the car and you're in business....
My dealer once told me the Stage 1 would "void out the turbo" and when I looked at him funny he mumbled that any problem the Stage 1 causes would not be covered under the warranty (I have the extended warranty!!!). After several questions from me he admitted it would be almost impossible to prove a Stage 1 PCM "caused" a failure of another part......too many other variables come into play.....
I've taken it in for warrenty work with the Stage 1 installed, plus the Mopar/Borla exhaust and haven't had any problems/questions/comments....
