Injen Cai installed , but a bov question...
Hi everyone.
I have a quick question on somethin...
I installed a injen cai on my 2005 orange srt-4..
And i have searched much over this, but cannot find any solid pictures or info.
I know when installing aftermarket bov's that most everyone i have search has put them right after the tb...
My question is.. I have a hks ssqv bov attached to a 3" 2 way flange.. Can i use this adapted onto my cai? I have already cut-up my injen cai piping and used 3" to 3" silicone adapters, Although i didn't have enough time today to totally finish it up.
If this will not work out.. Could i just adapt this flange right after the tb and then adapt the other side of the flange to the rest of that ic piping using 3" to 2.5" adapters?
Thanks for your input guys/gals.

umm, are you talking about recirculating the bov into your intake? im confuzzled.
but as psi said, if your trying to put a blow off valve on your intake, please step away from the car!!! if you cut a hole into your intake you probably just ruined your intake pipe.
you can put a bov on your i/c piping, not cai.

rgr,
Yeah I totally destroyed my cai yesturday then.
And as far as my hks ssqv bov with flange, If you look on eghey under hks ssqv flange or 3" hks flange , you will see the one i got. It's huge with no bends, almost the shape of a T. So even after cutting about 2" off on each side just enough to have room for clamps on either end, It will cannot fit along the piping after the tb... Unless of course i could drill holes in the flange and install those sensors on the flange? But they would be directly under where the bov vent hole is.. on the flange.
Any idea's?

Ok i managed to save the cai by using 3" to 3" adapter to connect the section i cut-up.
I have the mopar bov installed currently, and I never had a cai installed, so i need to ask, Is the bov sound suppose to come from my air filter, or do i have vaccuum hoses wrong somewhere? I tookout all the junk plastic dodge ones and ran some braided rubber hoses instead....
To me the way the mopar bov is made.. It cant make a noise directly from it because its all enclosed.. and maybe i just didn't notice before because of the air filter box..
Replies welcome.
Thanks!

it sounds like you are really new to building cars. Before you do anything to your car you need to do alot of research about your car and learn it. These cars take e bit to learn how to drive as well. Please for the sake of your whip, research before you start tearing stuff apart
