ok so my 3rd gear syncro is toast so im about to take my tranny apart this weekend if all the parts get here on time. just want to make sure i have everything before i do it.

new clutch while the trans is out
tob fork
pivot ball for tob fork
3rd/4th gear syncro
snap rings how many are on the 3rd/4th gear shaft and is this the right part number 5102728aa
5th gear nut will be order this tomorrow at work
3rd/4th shift fork

if i forgot anything please let me know. its starting to get really annoying going from 2nd to 4th. thanks for all you help.

 

You may want to change the linkage and add a STS and bushings while your at it.

 

looks about right. i guess it's tranny rebuild season lol

 

thanks for the replies.two more questions though. the snap ring on the input shaft bearing is it the same as the snap ring by the syncro. and can you remove the pivot ball without the slide hammer.
